![]() ![]() ![]() One of our 4 cats has some sores one his ears. We think they are from the other male cat who he plays with or brids but the will not heal and today when he came in from out side they were much worse. What could they be from and what should we to about them? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() You didn't describe the sores but other things to check is for ear mites and fleas. Cats will scratch at their ears when they are irritated by bugs or infection. If the ears look clean and smell ok, then move on otherwise he may need to go to the vet for an antibiotic and something to treat the bugs. Assuming your cat is fixed and he is not getting in fights over breeding rights, try keeping him indoors for a while and see if things clear up. If he isn't fixed, a short visit to a clinic is definitely in order. Is the other male cat fixed? They may be fighting rather than playing. IP: Logged |
