Our 3year old male cat has a bald patch on his thigh. The only hair that is there is thin and very stiff. There is also not a lot of hair there. We don't know if he is pulling out his hair our what. But he was bit by a snake a few monthes ago. Could that be why? If not why is it like that?

Is the bald patch the spot that he was bit by the snake?

Just a thought...if the leg was all scraped up there maybe once it got scabby it was a bit itchy and he ripped the hair out. When my cat licked his hair off it took months to grow back all the way. Does this bald patch appear to be irritating him? Is he licking, scratching the area ?
