i have a 1 year old persian neutered male who is always crying for something. he cries to be fed by hand even though his food dish is huge and filled to the top with dry food he insists on being fed on the table one peice of food at a time. then he cries when a door is shut to the bedroom he cried because he wants it open. we have 5 cats all together and no one else cries like this at all. when the other cats are sleeping he cries because they are sleeping and they dont want to play. he cries for attention all the time. hes not sick just very very bored. we cant get him to shut up please help us

lol how cute he sounds spoiled try getting one of those cat leashes and take him for a walk every couple of days that way he'll have something fun to look foward to and he won't be so bored.or you could buy him a new toy every once in a while to keep him busy.(but wait untill bed time to give it to him and he won't make so much noise at night.

Yikes!!! that sounds like a VERY spoiled kitty...have you tried ignoring him? In the food case, for instance, when he gets hungry enough, he'll eat. Also, try giving him most of the attention time when he's content. and not so much when he's begging for it. I don't know if that will help, but if nothing else, it's worth a try

i think he also has insomnia lol. he hardly sleeps. we try to ignore him when he cries for food and we did catch him a few times 'trying' to feed himself. he would pick the kibble out of the bowl with his paw and try and hand feed himself. i wish i could take him for walks that sounds like it would work but we live in nyc and our block has a history of strays dying from leukemia and i wouldnt want him to pick up any diseases. out of all our cats i dont know how he got this way we treat them all the same, hes just a brat i guess lol but this cant go on for the next 15 yrs we will all go crazy by then!
