Hi...my cat seems to act very wierd at times and I"m wondering what's wrong, if anything. She will run through a room, stop and lick her leg or her side, and her back will be twitching(alot)along with her tail. She'll repeat this a few times and then calm down. She's not chasing anything in the room and isn't playing with anyone. Is there something wrong? Why does she do this? Thanks for any advice.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with your kitty...mine does the same thing sometimes, and she's healthy, happy, and normal. I can't pinpoint the exact reason for this behaviour, but I do think that it is a brief moment of excitement. (I'm assuming kitty's eyes get big and the licks are rapid movements) anyways, no worries!

Yea all three of my cats do exactly the same thing!
The licking is displacement activity but as for the reason to them darting about like nutters who knows! My suspicion is they see something we don't perhaps a small fly or maybe they are just as mad as their owners!
