Hi everyone. My cat is having the same problems as all of you. He can barely walk, will not eat...just barely licks the food and it does not go in his mouth. He will not drink and I am scared he is going to die too. The vet said something about using a feeding tube??? What has happened to your cats? I read you all are having problems like mine but I only saw that one Kitty got better!?? I am scared and I need all the help I can get because the vet doesn't give me good answers...I am waiting for blood tests but I am scared I will have to put him to sleep because he looks like he is in so much pain and in 12 years I have never seen him like this. Please help!

Hi

I'm sorry your cat isn't doing well. I'm surprised your vet didn't show you how to feed him and tell you what you need to know. Since you're paying the vet I'd expect better survice than that! Can you go to another vet? You can get all the blood results transfered to a new vet easily enough.

At the moment the blood results will be very important in deciding a course of action. I imagine you will have the results by now, so hopefully it is something your vet can help you with. If you don't feel like you are being told enough or you feel like your vet isn't doing enough to help then ask the vet qustions and make them help you. Don't be afraid to demand better help! Or go to another vet.

Good luck

I am sorry for your kittie, but what is wrong with your vet not showing you how to use a tube, The vet should have on hand both the food and tubes and showing you how to do it. I would call the vet asap for you to bring kittie in and show you how to do this, if he is not willing to help maybe another vet. I have a backup emergency vet that is there to help any hour I need it
