![]() ![]() I'm taking care of an orphan kitten who is about 2 weeks old now. She was eating great until last night. She sucks on the nipple for a few seconds then starts chewing on it. It's like she's lapping at the milk but isn't she too young for this? I tried using a dropper and dropping the milk on her tongue but this didn't work either. Poor thing is hungry and I don't know what to do for her. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() You've confused me...is the mom cat there, or are you using a 'Nipple' bottle feeder? Either way, when I was in that exact situation, I just gave the kittens evaporated milk. Use a semi-large dropper, but be careful not to over-feed. Dab the milk on the kittens nose gently until it decides; licking it off it's nose, that the milk tastes good. Leave milk a bowl available where the kitten can reach at all times. If it can't get into a bowl, put a semi-high (large enough to fit a good amount of evaporated milk) tupperware lid in it's place. Good Luck! IP: Logged |
