Again, I am still worried about my little Pumpkin. I gave her a tiny piece of processed cheese (even on a normal day it will make her bring up) because she really likes it, and I am trying to get her to eat. I though she ate it, but I just found the chewed up cheese on the blanket where she is lying. I even tried feeding her warm milk with a baby bottle. That workeed for about 2 seconds. Another thing I can't figure out is why does she smell so bad?? I am very worried about my cat, I've had her since I was 2 years old, and I can still remember the day my dad brought her home for me. She's 16 now, and I understand that that is very old for a cat, but I can't stand the thought of losing her. She's very dis-oriented, and she can barely walk. Last night, my dad was lying on the couch, and when she tried to jump up to lay on his lap, she fell completely head over heels onto the floor. Whatever happened to cats always landing on thier feet? I've been wanting to take her to the vet for a few weeks now, but I am terrified about what she will say. I really don't know how much longer she will be here for.

im really sorry to here your cat is sick. i dont know alot about cats, but i do know that it sounds to me you need to get it to the vet right away. there might still be a chance for it, but the longer you wait the longer your making your cat suffer.

My 12 year old female loves cheese and will sit in front of the frig until she gets some.

I would hope you would take your kitty to the vet as the smell you say she has concerns me. Is the smell coming from her breath? Or have you checked for wounds anywhere on her body? Smells coming from the breath can be tooth decay making her not wanting to eat just like ourselves when we have a tooth ache and can be fixed. A 16 year old cat can still be active and healthy if we take the time to give them the needed care they deserve. I don't mean to sound daddy but waiting because your afraid what the vet will say is no excuse for her not getting to the vet now simply because your her mommy.

Keep us informed and hope all turns out OK.

Well, it so happens to be that our cat is going through the exact same thing right now at age 19! If the breath smells bad, he or she might just have a dead tooth. Our cat smelled bad and had a dead tooth, so that might be what's happening, and if you don't take him or her in right away, you might end up killing your cat because it will become infected. If your cat is cluping in his or her hair, that is also a sign of an infected tooth. Our other cat would lay still also without moving, it getting so bad that she was actually getting rid of her waste where she was laying, so we took he in immediately. It turned out that she had diabetes, so have her checked for diabetes. But anyways, you really need to get that cat into the vet because without the care, you may end up killing him or her yourself, and if your cat is really suffering, even though it may be extreamly hard to do, it might be for the very best. I really will hope for your cat's wellness. Take your cat to the vet and you might end up having a healthy cat again! Don't be afraid! Good luck!
