We have 3 female domestic short hair cats. The mother is 6 and the daughters are almost 4. We had the daughters spayed two weeks ago, and the mother had an emergency hysterectomy/spay in February of this year.

Now, in the past two weeks, one of the cats, we haven't been able to pinpoint which one, has either vomited clear fluid(it smells barfy vs like urine)on our Comforter which the first time soaked through our top sheet and mattress pad. So we got them cleaned and within a week following, did it again to the same comforter and the sheet/mattress pad.

Now we've taken the comforter in to be dry cleaned, so we have another comforter on the bed(brand new king size bed)and they've done it twice in the past two days but since we hadn't put the mattress pad/top sheet back on yet, have now stained the mattress itself three times...We don't know what to do!

We had started today to close the bedroom door when we weren't home to see if they'd do it elsewhere, but it seems that sometime after 7am when I returned the comforter to our bed, and 10:30am when we left and closed the door all day, one of them left us a surprise again! Its currently drying with our fan but...

I squirted some lemon juice on the area to see if this might detract them but are there any other ideas on what we can do?

We plan to just keep the bedroom door closed at all times but other than that...

Please help!

Thank you,

Give them both a diet of boiled rice and chicken or white fish for two or three days, this should sort out any stomach problems they may have that are causing them to be sick.
If it continues but they don't do it elsewhere then I would imagine it is urine not vomit and that you need to keep them out of your bedroom at all times.
Cats sometimes still mark their territory, though its rare, when they have been spayed.
