![]() ![]() I have a 5 yr. old neutered male that has started spraying. He is one of 10 and one of 2 males. He was neutered as a kitten and has never done this before. I foster rescued and abandoned cats until new homes are found. So since he was a kitten there has always been "extras" in our home. Both male and female. I have tried the extra attention, additional litter boxes, Buspar and feliway. Feliway has helped some, but maybe I am not giving it enough time . I would APPRECIATE any help or suggestions as this cat means the world to me and I am worried I will have other "sprayers". PLEASE HELP!!! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Respect for taking in some many strays! Makes me wish I could do the same! Still onto your problem. It does sound like he is doing it for attention more than anything else, cats very easily get into a negative attention seeking behaviour. When he does it dont shout at him, just ignore him and wait til he has moved away to clean it up. Then give him attention for positive behaviour, he will soon get the idea that peeing on your carpet does not get him anywhere. Good Luck IP: Logged |
