![]() ![]() ![]() Kidney failure is more common in older pets because as they age their bodies simply do not function as well. Senior diets are often recommended for older pets so that if kidney problems do arise the kidneys are not being overworked thus prolonging progress of the disease. Feeding a high quality food is the best prevention I am aware of because high quality, highly digestible ingredients put the least amount of stress on the organs. Vanessa IP: Logged |
