I posted a message quite some time ago regarding my precious friend's struggle (and death) with FIV- her son, Cody lives with me and I suspected that he too had FIV and have been keeping a very close eye on him in an effort to catch and treat any illnesses before they take over. Today, I took him in for a teeth cleaning and his vet talked me into an FIV test as a comfort to me in the small chance that it was negative, however, (as intuition is always right) Cody is positive for FIV and although I have already researched the virus as well as treatments (including natural treatments, vit. supplements, etc.) I would really appreciate hearing about other's experiences with it- what treatments worked well for your cat? Did you use any supplements? Any effective preventative measures (against secondary illnesses) aside from keeping them indoors? etc....
Shaman really blind-sited me with FIV- by the time we found out that she had it, it was far too advanced. Any information that could help me help Cody and his immune system to fight infections would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
