im worried about my cat he will go to the bathroom around the litter box and all he does is pee in it and i dont know why it is. is it the litter or is it just him?

Hi!
I just need to clarify...he pees in the litter box but poos around the litterbox?

1) How often do you clean the litter box?
2) Is it big enough for him to dig in, move around, squat??
3) Does he share the litterbox with oter cats?
