I am so sorry to hear about your kitten. It's not easy to dealing with the passing of a pet and friend but its even harder to watch its playmate mourn becasue they just don't understand whats going on. I recently lost one of my two cats (actually they are my mom's cats now) and they had been together for 9 years. Nickle was so confused and lost for days; she stopped eating and became very lethargic. The only thing we could do for her was give her lots of love to fill the void she was feeling. By doing this, we found it to be good therapy for us by dealing with the pain together. It took her a few weeks but she became used to being the only cat in the house.

I hope this helps you; only time and love can heal this. My thoughts are with you.

My heart aches for you. I wish you peace and healing. Maybe all pets and owners will be together in Heaven. I hope. Good luck, God Bless you.

I can understand how hard it is to lose a best friend. Butter to you & your cats seems like Max & my cats.
Though sadly Max had died in are house from being very sick. He choked to death right infount of my eyes, because of posions from his wastes un able to get out, they posioned his brain & he had forgotten how to breath. I still am very hurt & even more every time I think about how he couldn't go up in peace, but he had to go in pain, very much pain.
My cat was 1 1/2 years old & his sister who was like his side kick play mate when he wasn't with me, is very lost!
The only thing I can say is to pray to god that she is ok, he just keep in mind that she IS in a better place.
But about your other cat. You just need to be with it a little more often & try to explain the best you can that it is ok.
I do in fact know exactly what its like to lose a best friend & a true side kick through thick & thin.
