Author | Topic: adopting a new cat; will current cat accept it? |

![]() ![]() I have a three-year-old torty-point siamese. Phoebe was a stray, got her at one-year-old. She gets lonely when I'm at work and doesn't like it when I sometimes have to go out of town. She likes her cat-sitter, but I'm thinking of getting another cat to keep her company. When Phoebs was new to me, I took her to the vet for shots and a check-up. She was quite aggressive, scratched the vet. He recommended not getting another cat. She is a couple of years older and calmer now, and I'm wondering about introducing a new cat during an upcoming nine-day vacation. IP: Logged |
