I recently adoped a 3.5 yr. nuetered, declawed, male cat from the animal shelter. He has a history of being a vomiter. In the 6 days I have had him he has not eaten and the one time he did he immediately vomited. I took him to the vet who said he had a fever and was slightly deydrated. She put him on antibiotics for his sneezing. Any ideas on what's wrong with him?? IP: Logged |

Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to food or give some petroleum jelly - may be a hairball that is preventing the food from going down, therefore the cat is afraid to eat again. Cats can go a long time without eating. Cats can have so many problems. Check internet for FIP. Feline Infectious Peritonitis. Good luck. I have 5 and 1 is dying from feline leukemia - and has had annual vaccinations for it! IP: Logged |
