![]() ![]() Does anyone know how to stop my 11 month old kitten from scrathing my furniture? My boyfriend has just built him a special scratching stand which he loves but he still also loves clawing up the lounge suite. I thought there may be some sort of spray deterent or something? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm no expert. Maybe you should consider trimming his nails. Check out this post about trimming cats nails: http://www.auspet.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000129.html IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, there are several things you can do to stop this behavior: 1) feliway (www.feliway.com) - a spray that deters cats from scratching 2) sticky paws (www.stickypaws.com) - double sided tape strips that are safe on furniture without leaving a sticky residue and also will deter the cat from scratching 3) soft paws (www.softpaws.com) - plastic nail covers that prevent scratching - your vet can probably help you apply them if you dont think you can do it yourself.
