![]() ![]() Our daughter is on active duty and we have had her cat for almost a year...big old male coon cat. He started spraying in the house ....3 x's now and the house smells!!!!! Why is he doing this and how to counteract his behavior? Our living room white carpet is not "liking this". Please help with answers and ideas for a cure. Thanks, Marge IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() My parents had a similar problem with their male cat. He would spray no matter what they did. Finally after watching his behavour, i saw that he would go to the litterbox, look in and walk away to an area and spray? I though for a change we would move his box to where he was spraying, and believe it or not, it actually worked...no more spraying!! We added another box to another area in the basement and he is quite content again. He hasn't sprayed in the house again. It can be a territorial thing, if there is another cat in the yard or the house as well. IP: Logged |
