I see that you are from the UK, so I don't know what comparable feeds would be...but I'll atleast tell you what my hard-keeper is on!

He is a 13 y/o TB geling..hard keeper and I am finally just getting him at a good weight (I have only owned him since January '03) Now that winter is approaching I obvioulsy need to make sure he is maintaining and even better, still gaining a bit!

He is fed twice daily and he gets:
AM and PM:
1 Scoop (3 quart scoop) of Purina High Fat N Fibre chunks
1/2 Scoop of 12% sweetfeed.

He gets free choice (round bale) hay all day and three flakes for when he comes in at night. I have found he is gaining nicely and his energy isn't too high!

Hope I helped somewhat!
