I am considering selling my horse, but I'm not sure I want to. I work and attend school full-time so for 5 days a week I am home no more than an hour a day, so I dont have the time to spend with him and work with him. He has always been head-strong, even when I rode him daily, and he is beginning to be even more head-strong and just bad in general. I know he needs the attention, and I spend the hour I'm home with him, but I don't know if thats enough. In a little less than a year, I'll be finished with my classes so I'll have more time with him, but in the mean time, what do I do? He's my baby, and I really don't want to have to sell him, but is it being selfish to keep him when someone else could spend more time working with him? I've considering leasing him for the year, but I dont know how that works. Please reply if you have any ideas. Thank you so much.

I think the real question is,is this horse in a stall all day with out any semulation and no exercise? If that is the case and you have no other solutions for this horse you are not being fare to him, he would have no quality of life. But if this horse is turned out every day and feed on time, then by almeans keep your Baby and when your life gets back in order after you are out of school you can start the road back with your horse. Another sugestion would be to find some one you would trust and offer them the opertunity to use your horse so he is getting exercised. I hope this has helped your with this diffecult decision, I would find a way to keep my horse, but make sure it's not at the expence of his mental sanity. Carol

Thank you Carol. He is turned out all day and he also has the company of my neighbors horse. And, a friend of mine just came home from school for the summer and she is willing to ride my horse! Unfortunately, the reason she is able to ride mine is she had to put hers down about a month ago. I am going to keep my baby, because he is just that, my baby.
