I need to sell my arabian gelding. He is 18 years old, 15.2 hh, papered and sound. I am 16 years old, going to art school and needing a car, so I really don't have time to ride him. When I first bought him 3 years ago he was a jerk and wouldn't do anything for me. But I didn't sell him and I payed top dollar for him and I worked it out. I ended up showing him western pleasure and hunt seat eq. When I went back to find out where he was before I bought him, I found out that he was trained by a Grand Prix trainer, Dorothy Baylis of Ca. She showed him in Grand Prix shows until she moved back to England before I bought him. I'm also sure that he was trained as a dressage horse. I have jumped him over low cavaletti, although I have looked at videos of him jumping 5 and a half feet. I haven't tried jumping on him since I'm not a jumper, and for about 6 months of me being busy, I have only used him as a trail horse/ pleasure horse. He is out of shape and has a grass belly, but with more excersise, he could get into nice shape again. He has alot of years left. I'm asking $3,000 OBO for him. He would do well with an intermediate to an experienced rider, but he has packed kids. Thanks. Ravenn IP: Logged |

I have an idea. You can pay someone to ride him for you. It always works when my instructor doesn't have time to ride her horse. IP: Logged |
