First, I am not a War monger and would prefer that America and it's Allies never had to go to war. But you need to ask yourself this question? "When is war justified?

Let's forget about the Terrorist argument and the fact that terrorists have been attacking America and other free western nations for decades. Sadly, this is not limited to terrorists of Arab decent but includes the infamous Timothy McVeigh. If you believe the U.S. is targeting Arabs, or any other ethnic group, remember that Timothy McVeigh was put to death, for the simple reason that he planned and murdered innocent people.

Let's forget that since 1979 when the U.S. Embassy in Iran was attacked and 80 Hostages were taken, there have been countless attacks against American servicemen and innocent civilians. These include the Embassies in Beirut on 3 different occasions, the U.S Embassies in Madrid, Spain, Kenya, Tanzania, Saudia Arabia-twice, which have taken more than 1,000 U.S Servicemen and innocent civilians.

Let's forget that they have also specifically targeted civilians when a bomb exploded on Pan Am 103 and killed 259 people over Lockerbie, Scotland. And we all know what happened in Oklahoma City, New York, and Washington D.C.

For those of you opposed to the war and would rather remain on the sidelines and wait, consider this:

~~ In 1938, prior to the U.S. involvement in World War II, the American public was adamantly opposed to entering WWII, wanted to remain neutral and not send American servicemen to fight Europe and Asia's battle. It was not until Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, did America declare war on Japan and ultimately Germany.

~~ I wonder how those of you who oppose this war would answer this question:

~~ If you were afforded the same kind of Military Intelligence we have today and could go back to 1938 with the ability to know what Adolph Hitler's plan for the Master Human Race was, and that he was engaged in gassing millions of innocent Jews, would you try to stop him? Assuming you are human and your answer to that question is yes, how would you propose doing it? By sitting and waiting for him to come to America and do it, or by stopping him before he had the capability to do so?

Saddam Hussein has proven that he will attack another Country unprovoked as he did to Kuwait in the first Gulf war. He has proven that he will commit Genocide by the gassing of thousands of Kurds and Shites. He has professed over and over again, by calling for a Jihad, that he will attack civilian Americans.

Enough is Enough. Just as in WWII, America is the only country that is capable of stopping Saddam Hus-in-Sein from the atrocitites that he has been commtting against his own people, and the rest of the world for 3 decades.

People have a way of ignoring, forgetting, or simply in their life avoiding facts in history that explains "Why there is War".
Hope this helps many of you not to forget the past and only see the present.
God Bless all the troops fighting in Iraq!

Doc, glad to see you here. Your view is great to read! Thank-you for sharing.

It is very sad to see this war taking place, but at the same time....get him...get him...get him...bring him down and let the Iraqi people be free of Hussein's brainwashing etc...Supporting the troops all the way...Bush however, is a different story..sorry, but don't like the guy.
