I had the same problem, but give them a coulple of hours and they'll be fine.. It takes awhile for them to get used to there new home.. Soon enought they'll be swimming after them feeders don't worry too much they'll be alright...Its normal.. Ryan IP: Logged |

Keep in mind that one more will not make them school. You need about a half dozen or more to see the schooling activity. I have seen a group of four fish school but that's pushing it. If you would like to add a pleco you could probably get by with that just buy one that's already grown out a bit. You'll have to wait untill you upgrade your tank of course. ------------------ IP: Logged |

and one more rbp would make the other one more happy it would give it something to do and chace and the more you have the cooler it looks and just leave the feeder in there he will get around to eating them mine always do IP: Logged |

I have 3 rbp in my 72 gal, and they always swim together like a mini school LOL. I bought mine back in Feb 03 as little baby's. They were only about 1/4 inch and you could still see through them. There now 6"-7" each. By the way I started with 4, the first live fish they ate was the 4th rbp oh well! when they were still little I dumped some guppies in the tank still to this day I have anywhere from 25-50 little guppies in there at any time. They have babies about every 7-10 days. So they keep up with how my P's eat them. They only eat the babies though when I feed krill, blood worms, etc... the guppies eat along side the P's they must be friends LOL. IP: Logged |

With only two rbp's in there it is likely that one will be dominant and harass the other one to death. Especially if one has been in the tank alone up to that point (he's staked out his "territory") With at least 3, that's less likely to happen - but again your tank will be far to small. As noted, plecostumus can live with them and are voracious algae eaters - but they grow big too (over a foot) If you do get one, get one that at least as big as the rbp's. IP: Logged |

Just remember you will want about 20 gal per rbp. So for 3 you want about 60+ gal tank. The bigger the better. IP: Logged |
