hi i recently purchased some chillids and to my astonishment the are having babies but i have oscars in my tank to does anyone have any suggestions on have to save the babies fish i would like to see them develop IP: Logged |

How many gallons in your tank? Net them out and put them in another tank.... IP: Logged |

what kind of cichlids are they? are they mouthbrooding or egglayers? a lot can depend on what kind of cichlid you have. you could get a piece or two of holey limestone and the fry can hide in there. not sure about when they get bigger what the oscars would do since I don't have any experience with oscars. good luck IP: Logged |

If all you have in the tank are the cichlids and fry, and Oscars the easiest solution is to move the Oscars to another tank. If the Oscars are left in there they will eat the fry. Oscars are voracious eaters even on larger fish. IP: Logged |
