Hi, I am keeping 7 guppies of different colours and sizes in 10 gallon tank. I think they are all males because they are all very colourful and have long tails, and anal fins don't look around. I am new to this fish. I've just started keeping them for about 3 weeks now and I observed aggresive behaviour. Each individual would swim to next to another and suddenly curl a litter and spread their top and tail fins. They remind me of siamese fish. Two of them became stressed and did not eat. They later stayed motionless at bottom of tank, and sad to say, soon died. Is this aggresive behaviour of guppies common? Have to admit there isn't many hiding place for them. Tank has no live plants. Only decor is huge medieval castle where they can swim in and out of the doors. Thanks. IP: Logged |

Once I had 2 guppies,a male and a female, the female was bigger, and she started nibbling the male's fin, and didn't use to let him eat, he died after a couple of days. Maybe it because they r all males? i don't know exactly. IP: Logged |
