I recently ( 2 days ago) set up my new aquarium, and in it i placed a piece of boogwood, which i left to soak for 3 days before in water, and which i cleaned before i placed it in d aquarium. Now firstly it still floating so i had to put 2 pieces of rock to keep it in place, and secondly on certain places a white kind of fluff appeared? Is this some sort of algea? what can i do about it? Hi Claudia, I also suspect the white fluff to be fungus. This is common for decaying organic matter, which is why I use artificial decorations in my tanks. You might try boiling the bogwood and then placing it back in the tank. IP: Logged |
