Since yesterday the Pacus have been staying in the upper right hand corner of the tank, they look like they are trying to eat something off the glass, though there is nothing on it to eat. They have not been eating right the last few days. About once every hour one of them will splash so bad they are getting water all over the floor, I don't mean a particular one, they take turns doing this. I don't know what is causing them to freak out and do this. They also have been swimming on their side. Should I be worried? I read where someone had Pacus who went through times of not eating, but then would be fine. Is this normal for them? The tank is clean, filters and air are working fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Actually need more information. From your description, preliminary diagnosis would be high ammonia levels. "...staying in the upper right hand corner of the tank, they look like they are trying to eat something off the glass, though there is nothing on it to eat." The picture I get from this is the Pacus at the top breathing heavily with the lower lip protruded, indicating difficulty getting oxygen, generally from high ammonia or possibly nitrite content. Please check your water parameters.
