I have messed around with alot of "loaded tanks" but would never mix those two. I have two red devils and both have a tank of their own with only a pleco in with each. I do have a jack and an oscar that were raised together that coexist peacfuly. Maybe just maybe if you got two babies and raised them together you might get away with it but I dought it.

Depends on the fish. Jacks have a wide varity of personality's I have two jacks one is mean and gets along with nobody. The other is peacefull and will swim with a guppy. The best thing to do is go to the fish store and watch the fish for a while and pick the one that best suits the personality you want in a fish.

Yea I agree about the jack but I was more worried about the red devil's temper. I have only seen one type of personality in a red devil. You would probably end up with one dead dempsy.
