I am busy with my tanks cycle, so I got a filter with charcole which circulates the water, but I had problems with keeping the filter in the water, so what i did was I took little stones from the garder, washed them off and put them ontop of the filter, will these stones do anything "bad" to the water? you should boil them first just to make sure there isn't anything on/in them that well hurt your fish IP: Logged |

You should be o.k. but keep in mind that some rocks/stones will effect the ph. Example: limestone, shells. Maybe you could attatch your filter with suction cups. What kind is it? ------------------ IP: Logged |

It is a small little charcole(if that is how you spell it) filter that sits in the corner. The stones is like litte pebbles. What else can I add to the water that won't change the PH? IP: Logged |

are you using aquaclear filters? because mine do that too and my solution has also been stones. That is a major flaw in their design, sometimes when mine floats up like thar it also leaks everywhere! IP: Logged |

Neons are not a good fish to cycle a tank. You need to cycle your tanks with a fish that is more hardy. ------------------ IP: Logged |
