Do oscars and jack dempseys get along i have heard that the dempseys are too fast and will kill the oscars IP: Logged |

Jacks are best kept alone!!!! they will eventually kill everything else in the tank, unless you get at least an 200 gal, so the other fish can hid and or get away. Jacks are very territorial, my brothers jack has killed about 3 other african cichlids, and its only 5 inch, they will get about 10 inch IP: Logged |

I have a Jack and an oscar in same tank and have been for nine months. I think alot of it depends on if they were raised together and the tank conditions. They are usually hangin out right next to each other. ------------------ IP: Logged |
