YOUR fish has fish lice and the best way to get rid of it (I think) is toget the fish out onto a wet surface(I use a plate) and apply an anti-parasitic with a Q-tip or your finger, quickly!and also dose the water. Then change out the water gradually.I wouldnt just rip it off as it may make a wound.

Dont take of the piranha out of the tank, and take off the parasite, cause its a piranha and it wont let you. what you can and should do imediatly is go to a pet store and get some stuff to kill the crab like thing, because it is very bad. Just ask the people and tell them your situation at the petstore and they will give you the right stuff.

medication is the best way to go, put some carbon in your filter to absorb the meds after.
