I'm going to answer your question with a question. Do you mean how do you cycle a tank to make it safe for your fish or do you mean like what all do you need for a tank?

one more question. Do you know anyone with a tank already setup that has been cycled? If so this could save you alot of time if not you'll have to do it the old fasion way.
You may want to check out this link. It describes the cycle process in detail. http://shell.pubnix.net/~spond/filter/nitrogen.html
If after reading this you have questions let us know.

Just set up the tank. Acclimate two black mollies into it and wait about 6 weeks. Don't do any water changes during this time. After 6 weeks take a water sample to your LFS and have them test it for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates to make sure it has finished cycling. If you want to do it the harder more hands on, expensive route, do the same as above except test the water each week to see the ammonia and nitrite spikes. It should take only about 6 weeks to cycle. Once it has cycled, acclimate your Arrowana into the tank. The two black mollies will be his first meal. Hope this helps.
