I have had a whiptail Catfish for about six months now. He has always done just fine. I am religious with water changes and meeting the needs of my fish. Two days ago his belly swelled up like a balloon and he is startingto hemorage from underneath his scales. I have researched different fish diseases and his symptoms describe two different diseases. He does not have protruding scales so I do not think it is dropsy. He gets around just fine so I know it isn't a swim bladder disorder. He is in a 55 gallon tank with about 15 other small fish. He is the only fish infected. Does anyone have any idea what he has and a possible cure. I would appreciate any help. Thanks IP: Logged |

Hello, Trying to diagnose fish illnes or disease without seeing it can be dangerous but here is a link to a site that I've found useful. Good luck and let us know. http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/symptoms.html ------------------ IP: Logged |
