At the LPS they have a tank that is just labled "Pacus" two look like red bellies and one is all black.
could this be a black pacu? do black pacus look the same as red bellies when they are little or is there someting wong with that one pacu, if its a black i think im gonna buy it.

Yes they do look a lot alike, but I would suspect that it is another RBP. I've seen RBP's go in and out of the dark coloration. At first I attributed it solely to stress or water conditions, but later found out that wasn't the case. It's just something they do.
