cheapest ive seen them are $3.00 some adult koi are over $200.00

Koi priceing is basically what the market will bear on the lesser quality Koi. For example I may see a poot quality 4" Koi in my area for $15.00, and then drive 10 miles and see the same Koi at another shop for $6.00. The more expensive Koi are rated for shape, size, coloration and markings. As far as markings a high dollar Koi will have the same markings on both sides.
