I have a comet goldfish that i won from a carnival that is almost a year old now. it is the only survivor out of five that i got. I had it in a two gallon tank and it outgrew it so i put it in a ten gallon about two weeks ago, it's about three inches. It seems to be doing ok but I am concerned because when i first put it in there i noticed that a few scales were missing. i assumed it was from the net. but more and more scales come off and i noticed a little bit of blood in the tail. It seems to favour at times a certain corner of the tank. Other than this the fish seems to be exhibiting no other signs of disease i have read about. I am nearing finishing cycling the new tank. I got a very active snail thats about half an inch in the tank also. It seems to be doing just fine. its been laying eggs on the sides of the tank and i don't want any more snails! so i just scrubbed them off. I dont think they were fertilysed anyway and i dont plan on getting another snail! I do, however, plan on getting a couple more small fish and/or maybe a dwarf frog. any suggestions as to what type and how many animals i can add to my ten gallon? thanks ------------------ IP: Logged |
