I have a 1 year old Tigar Oscar. Two months ago I noticed a fin that was partially missing. I didn't think any thing of it. Then about 3 weeks later I noticed a buldge on the base of the top fin on his back. Once again, I didn't try to do any thing; until I noticed that the buldge was detereating and became a large hole. By this time there were several areas that were detareateing on the body. My oscar is not very agressive and there are not really any sharp objects in the tank. I have used two types of anti fungal treatment. Durring the treatment, I did a water flush and took out the carbon filters. He is progressively getting worse and not eating any more. Any body have any ideas?

hmm i dont really know, but my guesses would be fin rot, or maybe, fin rot with hole in head? Not sure though, but if you feed your fish live food, he will be getting more and more diseases, unless you carefully monitor your fish's intake of food.

I would look up on the net to find some diagnostic (spell?) system for fish diseases, thats what I do when Bob Dole or Tony Blair (my fish) get sick.
