I really want to get a red bellie. And I need to know if a 29 gallon tank would be alright for one of them?????

when its small, but just get a big tank now atleast 90 gal they are gonna get over 12" in size, if you dont want to get a bigger tank choose a different fish.

i had one red in a ten gallon tank for over 6 months he did fine untill the fish sitter over fed him and the water got nasty. he died but i now have two reds in a 55 and they do fine. i think they need about 15 gallons for each fish. if they get to cramped they will get sick or fight but one should do just fine. they dont really like to be alone though. hope this helps.

That is fine for 1 red belly but if you plan on getting more be prepared to upgrade in the futur
