i have a two part question:
1. my daughter has been bothering me to get her own fish, so for her birthday i got her a 2 gallon tank setup. set it up did the proper waiting and what not. got her a fantail goldfish(its what she wanted) it was doing fine untill about a week ago the gold on him started to turn black and it was still eating and active.
This morning it was dead. any ideas?
2. My Pacus are constantly moving the plants around (not a problem) what does bother me is the keep bumping into the heater knocking it almost into the tank. Ive read stories were pacus have broken heaters and been electrocuted. Is there somthing on the market to shield heaters or any ideas of ho i can do it myself if there is nothing out there. i dont want to lose my pacus.

Don't know the answer on goldfish problem. Still trying to figure out a Pacu in a 2 gallon tank???? As far as unbreakable heaters, they make titanium heaters. Just do a websearch on titanium heaters.
