I have a group of 5 red belly piranha but just recently I noticed that the largest one has changed to the color black whereas the the others remain red. What is the cause of this? Is it domination/sickness?

As red bellies mature, they turn black with silver or grey speckles. You can pretty much expect the rest of them to turn the same color with time.
