How long does it take the bala to become not so skiddish. I have had mine for two weeks and he still hides all the time. In a 500 gallon tank. I am thinking I might go get a coulpe more. Will that help?

Balas by nature are skiddish. They are jumpers so make sure you keep the top of the tank covered. If you add two more Balas he will come out more often, but don't be surprised when you see the two new Balas school together but the first one stays off to himself on the other side of the tank. This has been my experience with my three Balas added at different times.
