My gold fish in our outside pond are looking sick. Some of the fish's scales are turning whiteish and almost look like the scales are coming off, does anyone have any ideas what that is?

your fish probably have ick being that they are in and outside pond with no filtering system there is lots of bacteria...did your fish come from a pet store????? if so they need to be kept in a tank like they were in at the pet store ... because that is a dramatic change for them...

I have a pond thats about 10X8 and about 2 1/2 feet deep. Have two waterfalls, one at each end. Have a filtering system thats around the pump and then another filter through the waterfalls. I have 4 small koi's and 14 pond goldfish. The fish have been in the pond for almost 2 years now.
