I just picked up two new tankmates for my 4" Clown Knife. I got a 5-6" Silver Arawana with really beautiful redish and blue scales near his head. I also got a Pictus Catfish.

Within 5 mins. of putting him in the tank hes already slurped down a goldfish and wants more!! Good sign. Hopefullt he adapts to my tank well and doesnt mess with my clown knife.

Ill post some pics when i get a chance. Im really excited about these new additions. Thanks for all the help and suggestions on what buddies i should get for my knife.

100 gal. I know someone that is trying to sell a 150 gal. so maybe i can get that off him cheap.

But for now they are a 100 gallon.

you should say that you got a clown knife and a catfish for your arowana, instead of the arowana for the knife =) hehe.. nice fish tho man

haha Jay, My Knife is by far my favorite and best fish in the tank =P So he gets seniority. Plus i did have him first for five days, lol.

The Arowana has some cool hunting techniques, he hunts like a bowman. Leaping forward 3-5" to engulf his prey. Where as the Knife is an assassin, getting in close before he strikes. Its a nice combo to watch.

My cat is just mean. Every time my clown settles in one of his caves, the cat will sooner or later go in that cave and kick my knife out. So then the knife will go to the other cave and the same thing happens. So after awhile the clown just goes over to the plants and blends in among the leaves.

Its comical actually. My Clown Knife has the Arowana in check, and my Pictus cat has my Clown in check =P

wierd cuz my silver arow holds down a red snakehead =P.. hes by far my dominant fish in the tank hehe... i had to move a trimac into my arow tank cuz my cichlid tank was kickin its hmm =P

yeah, maybe my Silver Aro will get more aggressive when he gets bigger. But i hope my Knife remains dominant.
