Thanks to those of you who replied. It was the Salt that I had not added to the tank. I added 1 tbs to the 10 gallon tank, and my shovelnose was swimming the next morning looking great. Now my question is how soon will it out grow the 10 gallon isolation tank. It is currently between 2 and 3 inches, and my question is, How fast do they grow? Thanks for all you do... In about 6 months he should be about 12" to 14" and eating about 50 feeder goldfish every 5 days. You might want to try to break him into eating frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms. If you can get him away from live food it will be less expensive to feed him beef heart or cocktail shrimp later on. IP: Logged |
