Would it be wise to buy an Oscar and put it in my 10 gallon tank? IP: Logged |

Hellp i would for when they are small but in the furture i would get a 55 gallon but soon that will get small for him so a 10 gallon would not be good well later. IP: Logged |

I have a 29 gallon tank that was cycling without fish, in a school where i work. To my amazement, someone dumped an 11 inch oscar inside my tank. It probably had outgrown its home. The truth is that it really didn't fit in the 29 gallon, poor fish! You need at least a 55 gallon tank, or you'll be looking for a home for your fish in a few months. IP: Logged |

An Oscar would quickly outgrow a 10 gal. I have three small ones in a 55 gal. and I am already looking for another tank for moving one. They are great fish, but they require space. IP: Logged |
