There are several kinds of Puffers, Ranging in adult size from 2 Inches - 24 Inches. All are very aggressive, and the smaller ones are poisonous to larger fish if eaten. I have two green spotted Puffers that when first put into my tank with two 2 inch oscars destroyed the Oscars and a Needle Nose Gar. They started with the fins until the fish couldn't swim, and as it started sinking to the bothom, they went for the soft belly of there prey...You be the judge, and let us know if you have any other quetions...
