ok, heres what i want to do . . .

I Currently have a 29 gal set up as an african cichlid tank. a girl at the LFS wants to start up a huge colony, and asked if i would sell them to her. If I did sell them, i would be left with around 50 bucks, and an empty tank in my room. I want a planted tank with some cool fish!

does anyone have experience in setting up a planted tank, or know of some good step-by-step webpages? I need to know what kind of other equipment i will require for this project.

also, after i had the tank established i want to put in a pair of 4-5" Discus, and some chinese algea eaters . . . I have seen it done, but will a 29 gallon sparsley(sp?)-planted tank be too cramped for Discus, or would it be "cozy" for them.
