on of my piranahs seems to have awart on his chin. he seems to be doing fine elsewise but i would like to know if this is normal or if i should do something about it. also are the tail fins normally balck on the very edges because i keep thinking they have something wrong with the fins.
a last question would be about the bottom medium. What is best to have on the tank floor? Rocks, sand, gravel?
thanks, have a gret day,
-featherchild

The wart isn't normal, it's usually the effect of bruise, like when somebody hits a wall, they get a bump, catch my drift. I've had fish with it too. it heals on its own. but for quicker healing add some aquarium salt and some stress coat. Now the blackness on your piranah is 100% NORMAL
BECAUSE ITS PART OF A PIRANAH'S COLORATION
sand is a good choice, plus it adds the natural tropical beauty to your tank and maybe add a rock or two. How big is your tank?
