How many do you plan on keeping ? for 1 may be 30-35 gal if you want to keep a few at a time then it depends on how many at least 75-100 gal. IP: Logged |

Just in case you don't know when you buy your tank you should set it up and let it run for 30-45 days before you put your fish in there. about 2 weeks after you set it up go and buy some feeder fish and put them in there. All of this will allow bacteria to grow. Any way to price you could go to Wal-Mart and get a complete set up for about $90.00 this is the tank, Hood, Filter, heater, Thermomiter, and a net. But to be honest the quality of the tank and equipment is not that good. However it sounds as if you are a beginner at keeping fish, so it is a good deal for the beginner. That way if you don't stay intrested you didn't dump a whole lot of money in to it. Check www.elmersaquarium.com you will get an idea of prices for complete set ups for good quality tanks. IMPORTANT! for a tank that is 30gal you should get a bio wheel the tank will get foggy and dirty a regular filter may be not be able to do the job i had a filter on mine and it was foggy then i went out got a whisper diatomagic cleared the tank and the bio wheel has been keeping the tank clean IP: Logged |

I was thinking of buying a few rbp. i have a 55 gallon tank and my pump turns the tank water completely 1.5 times per hour, will this be sufficient or should i get another pump to help out the other one? Is there any thing else i should get before buying these fish? IP: Logged |
