I have two red bellied piranha's and i noticed that the water is turning a brownish yellow. I checked the Ph and it is fine, and i clean the algae often. What could it be from? My friend suggests that i might feed them to much, but they eat everything i give them. How often and how much feeders, bloodworms, beef heart, anything else should i feed them? they are about 4 inches IP: Logged |

what are you feeding them? I found from exsperiance that beef liver and chicken liver will cause the water to ge a brown to green collor to it. Also i have found that talipia is a good food source you can buy it at your local grocery it's a fresh water type fish similur to carp. beefheart is also good as long as u cut off the fat. U can get it a lot cheeper thru a butcher shop cost is about 2.00 4.00 a heart weighing about 2/4 pounds IP: Logged |

Hi, How often are you doing water changes and how much are you changing each time? I do about 25 -30 percent a week while vacuming gravel. I clean the fliters every couple weeks in water drained from tank. IP: Logged |
