I have a tiger oscar that recently got a growth on his bottom lip. There's actually two growths. One on the inside of the lip, and then another one right above it. It's white, and looks kind of bubbly (for lack of a better term). The pet store said he probably cut his lip, and it's just heeling, but it doesn't look like it's healing, and it doesn't look like a cut. I tried to take some pictures so you could see the growths, but they didn't turn out. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

I guess it's worth a shot. What exactly do I need to do? How much salt do I use, and will it affect my other fish? I have a 55 gallon tank.
Thanks
